Wedding Gifts on the Cheap

I don’t know about you all, but it seems like a million and one people I know are getting married. And that means a million and one weddings to attend in the next couple of years. Yowza.

I love weddings, especially when it’s my dear friends getting married, but I do not love how much it costs to attend. Airfares, hotel rooms, gifts… it adds up really fast! So while I have no good advice about the airfare or the hotel room, I DO have some good tips for finding meaningful, cute wedding gifts on the cheap!

One of the best gifts, that packs a lot of bang for your buck, is Christmas decorations! No, seriously. Think about it. If you’re anything like me, you have a whopping ZERO Christmas decorations to bring into your marriage. And since decorations and the like are practically free after the holidays are over, now is a good time to stock up!

As I’m getting older, getting invited to friends/family weddings are becoming more frequent. It’s nice to see everyone settling in with their significant others - happy and excited about their future together.

Appropriate Gifts?

I am going to my boss’s wedding reception this Saturday at the Four Seasons and was wondering, what do I give him for a wedding gift? This is his and his wife’s second marriage and he is 50+ years old.

Traditionally, money is given as a gift in the Asian culture, but my aunt told me it would be inappropriate for me to give him a monetary gift because of his age. They are also not registered anywhere.

I need help!!
