There are so many things to worry about when planning a wedding, but DMPJ believes that photography shouldn’t be one of them. From the first phone call to the moment you receive your album, DMPJ pledges to handle the memories of your day with the utmost care.
Glen Cooper, award-winning head photographer, is the creative vision behind DMPJ’s wedding photography. Asha Ramakrishna, his wife of ten years, takes care of the logistics, ensuring that every photographic need is fulfilled, and every expectation exceeded. Together, Asha and Glen have built a team that comprises one of Boston’s leading full-service wedding photography studios.
For more than 15 years, Glen has developed a broad range of experience as a photojournalist. He has been named an International Award-Winning Photographer by the Wedding Photojournalist Association and has received accolades from the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers. A storyteller at heart, Glen considers wedding photography an opportunity to tell one of the most important stories of a couple’s life.
Glen and Asha live in the Boston area with their two young daughters and are currently working on a book and short documentary on their road trip through Mexico and Central America. You can see images and text from their trip at the blog: www.travelingfamilycircus.com.
“This isn’t just a job for Asha and I. Our life is full of visual imagery—just ask our two little girls who’s young lives are so well documented on an almost daily basis. Whether I’m staying late working an after-party for a sweet shot of my clients playing pool in full wedding attire or simply scouting out a location prior to the big day, I’m always shooting. This is as important to us as it is to you. We want beautiful, telling images from your wedding day maybe even more so than you do, and we know that this takes dedication above and beyond the norm. Your wedding day is one of the most important and exciting moments in your lives thus far and so we will treat it the same. “ Glen Cooper

If it can be done, we do it. We play with the latest techniques. From HDR, black and white, lensbaby (very cool! This is where focal point is small & most of the picture is blurry)
As photojournalists we have shot in EVERY kind of light, and we prefer to use natural light. But, off-camera lights are sometimes needed, so we make sure we scout out every location we photograph prior to see special needs.

We edit down to 500-800 from 3,000 total images. Part of the expertise that you get when you hire us is over 8 years of editing; Glen was a photo editor for two newspapers, and brings this same approach to your photos. This guarantees that the collection you receive is the best. You don't want to look through 1000 photos, and you want to see only the best. So, that's what we give you; the best.
It is specified in your contract who is your photographer. Whether you choose Glen Cooper or one of our Senior Associate Photographers, you are guaranteed by contract that your specific photographer will show on your wedding day.
No!
This has never happened, but we do have 3+ photographers on staff.
Each photographer has Canon Mark3, Canon 5D, an assortment of lenses.
Each photographer has at least two cameras, and we have lenses that can cover for any malfunction.
Both, depending on the situation.
We like to take good care of our customers, and try to stay away from keeping track of the clock. We take this on a case by case basis if needed.
I would say, almost none, except to eat dinner.
Yes, unless it is in Boston metro-area, or the couple selects a package with an album.
4 weeks. Editing is key. You don't want me to throw the pictures up in 2 days. This only takes away from the quality of the final collection.
On-line gallery.
The On-line gallery is up indefinitely.
Yes. Couples have the right to use photos for personal use.

Many. We are always looking for the most innovative vendors, and are willing to make changes to our work flow, if it means that you will get a better album.
Once you submit your favorites, approve design (this can take 2-4wks), We receive a printed proof (to make sure photos are perfect), then it goes to print (2-4 weeks). So, I would say 6-8weeks.
