jack morelli music is a unique agency that provides extraordinary live music and DJ’s from Manhattan, to the Hamptons to Atlantic City.

We are the preferred vendor for many upscale venues, event planners and private/corporate clients. The majority of our work comes from repeat business and referrals.

Many agencies have a few “set bands” and a client gets to choose which one they like the best. Often, if the “set bands” are not exactly what someone is looking for, they either settle or have to go elsewhere.

jack morelli music has some wonderful “set bands” but also has an ever-growing database of the premiere musicians in the area. After extensive discussions, musicians can be hand picked to create the exact band a client really wants. No one has to settle; it is not “one size fits all.”

All sizes of groups are available: solo artists, duos, trios, quartets, up to a 19 piece big band..

We offer all styles of music: jazz, blues, rock, pop, country, reggae, classical, tunes from the Great American Songbook, swing, country, Afro Cuban and party-dance bands. Our musicians are the finest in the area, many are music professors at prominent colleges, and many have performed on Broadway, played in the top jazz/blues clubs and toured the world with famous artists. We have performed at many wonderful venues and have an extensive list of satisfied clients both private and corporate.

    Do you have liability insurance?


    What is your band's usual attire?

    We dress in accordance to our client's wishes: tux, suit and tie, jacket, casual- it all depends on the style of the event, venue, and client's wishes.

    Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?

    Yes, we have Cd's, videos, and you can see many of our musicians on You Tube.

    Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?

    It is our pleasure to add some new tunes to personalize the party... We always ask for a "requested song list" and a "do not play list"

    How much time do you usually need for setup?

    We always arrive at least 1 hour before starting time.

    How much space do you usually require?

    Depends on number of musicians, we can be compact or fill a stage- it all depends.

    Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?

    We can bring a sign if asked, bit normally don't.

    What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?

    We can offer any number of add ons: special lighting, dance floors, furniture, just about anything one might desire, we can get.

    Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?

    Each event is personal- client lets us know if they want many announcements, just a few or none at all. It is not one size fits all.

    How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?

    Each party/event is unique; a party can be mild or wild... If our client wants the guests up dancing, we accomplish this by the choice of songs, and special announcements that will get the crowd up on the dance floor.

    What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

    Usually 45 minutes on 15 off- An iPod can be played during breaks if desired. No meals are required.

    Do you play recorded music during your break?

    Yes, if requested. We spend time finding out special songs the client would enjoy- from their favorite artist, to a certain style of music, and even ethnic music.

    If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan?

    That is the beauty of dealing with an agency like ours, we have hundreds of excellent musicians on call. If a musician can not attend, he will be replaced with another professional.

    What is your overtime rate?

    There is no set price, it can be worked out in advance, if desired.

    Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?

    No, only time travel expenses would occur is if event is out of state.
