About

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding! I am an ordained, nondenominational minister and I would be delighted to work with you to create a ceremony that is exactly what you envision when you think of the perfect ceremony whether it’s spiritual, traditional, or uniquely you! I work in the Chicago area helping couples to incorporate their philosophy, traditions, personalities and, of course, their love, so that their ceremony reflects who they are and what they want to say on this important and special day.

Yes. In fact, that is where most of the weddings I preside at are held.

What is your attire for the ceremony?

I wear a black suit and a white ministerial stole that has no religious insignia on it.

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?

Absolutely! The ceremony should reflect the bride and groom and they have complete freedom to customize the ceremony elements.

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?

I encourage it. The vows are one of the few ceremony elements where the couple's words and voices can be heard.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?

No. I provide suggested readings, but the most meaningful readings will be selections the couple finds.

How long are your ceremonies?

A typical ceremony is twenty to thirty minutes depending on what elements are chosen.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done?

No, but I do offer it for those couples who would like the opportunity to stregthen their relationship.

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?

Yes.
