Laura has been thinking about weddings pretty much constantly since she got engaged and married in 2015. Her writing spans travel, culture, food, and personal finance, all of which are involved in throwing a fun and memorable wedding. She has been published on websites like Roads & Kingdoms, Dave\'s Garden, Civil Eats, and The Financial Diet. She has written on everything from living in a small town in the Midwest and getting to know her neighbors, all the way to her favorite foodie experiences while living in Europe. She hopes that her writing will help brides and grooms to find the best combination of meaningful, fun, DIY, and economical choices for their weddings, because she really enjoyed throwing her own wedding while on a budget (there were many hours of using a fancy hole puncher to make those invitations look great!). She has a master\'s degree in English and works as a teacher during the school year, and has presented at a variety of conferences related to teaching writing, including the CCCC, or Conference on College Composition and Communication.
