It’s taken me over a year, but I’m finished with my recaps, so it’s time for me to sign off!
Some final advice:
- Try on your dress one last time after alterations have been made. If you don’t, you might learn on your wedding day that the final alterations you requested were never made, like I did. (And if you’re in that situation, just go with the flow as best as you can. Yes, the dress was too big and I was uncomfortable and you can see my bra in most of the pictures. But it didn’t ruin our day.)
- The wedding day isn’t all about you. There are a lot of people who sacrifice to be there with you and for you—don’t forget to show them you appreciate that!
- Consider hiring a day-of coordinator if you can afford one, even if your venue has their own coordinator. We hired ours two days before the wedding, and it was worth every penny. I just wish we had hired her sooner!
- Have fun! Have fun with the planning, being engaged, at the wedding, and definitely have fun being married. I firmly believe that laughter is good for the soul.
