Grosse Pointe War Memorial Wedding
Taylor and Thomas hosted an enchanted forest-themed wedding this past summer. Their Grosse Pointe War Memorial wedding featured so many DIY elements, handcrafted by family and friends: from the veil, to the invites, to the favors, to the photo booth, to even the floral arrangements. The bride even wrote a fairytale that she broke up and placed from table to table, so when guests mingled they could follow along with the story of how she and her husband arrived at their happily ever after. The tone of the evening was utter enchantment, with dinner and dancing celebrated by candlelight.

What were your favorite or most memorable aspects of your wedding day?
My parents surprised us with a tango, and it was UNREAL. We had no idea that they had been planning it for months. Watch the video:
Is there anything you would have done differently?
From a bride’s standpoint, absolutely not. It was such a wonderful day full of so much love and support. From a planning standpoint, I would have kept better tabs on my husband! He lost his tux in the Uber, got his face sliced open at the barber, and so much more. Ladies: Watch out for your men. They get lost on the day of the wedding, too!
Do you have any advice for future brides?
Everyone kept telling me to live in the moment, and it is so true. Walk down the aisle slowly and soak it all in, because it goes by so fast. Remember, it is only 8 hours of your life. Enjoy the party!
