Hawaii Honeymoon Activities
Mr. Ice Cream Sundae and I knew that we would be honeymooning in Hawaii from the day that we became engaged. Mostly because Mr. ICS purchased this trip for us two years ago at Christmas. We hadn’t been able to use the trip because our work schedules were so hectic, so when we became engaged, we decided, what better time to use it!
We decided on the Big Island because Mr. ICS and I have both never been. With all of the wedding planning, I felt that I wasn’t able to really do as much to plan for the honeymoon as I would’ve liked to, but I did the best that I could!
Day 1: Arrive and SLEEP! Time zone changes really throw me for a loop, and over the previous week we had gone through three! To be fair, we got in very late (about 10:00 PM).
Day 2: Parasailing! Our hotel was about 45 minutes away from every activity that we did, so it was great that we rented a car. I had received that piece of advice from a coworker about a week before we left, and I was SO thankful for that. My suggestion if you’re going to the Big Island: Check the locations of the activities that you schedule and the distance to your hotel. Our hotel was quite far away, which is why the car was necessary. The Marriott, on the other hand, was right in the mix of things, so a car wouldn’t have been necessary.
