A warm winter wedding destination certainly sounds dreamy. Swapping snow and ice for sand and a cool blue ocean is definitely a pretty picture. Thankfully there are a number of warm wedding destinations to choose from that fit every couple’s budget and needs if they’re getting married in the winter. Whether you’re looking for an intimate and relaxed wedding or one that’s exotic and adventurous, you’re sure to find it on our list of the nine warm winter wedding destinations to say “I do.”

1. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

While most couples might opt for Cancun (which isn’t a bad option, either!) you can opt for a more unique twist on a Mexican destination. Cabo San Lucas is not only a playground for the rich and famous, but it also offers a cool, laid-back Baja vibe that is perfect for those couples who prefer a bohemian, semi-casual approach to their nuptials. (Not to mention there’s a ton of tacos and margaritas to be had!)

2. Charleston, South Carolina

If you’re looking for a more traditional and elegant location, you might want to look at Charleston. Steeped in history and Southern charm and hospitality, this is one of the most beautiful—and warmer—cities on the east coast that will give you that sophistication and family feel you’re craving.

3. Martinique

The French Caribbean isle of Martinique is home to luxurious white sand beaches, not to mention stunning landscapes and architecture, and, of course, delightful seafood and French-inspired fare. It’s also an ideal setting for those who’d like to try their hand at paddle boarding and scuba diving, or just laying on the beach and getting tanned.

4. Key West, Florida

This is another unique destination, but one that’s perfect for adventurous couples looking for something that blends casual cool with a hint of refinement. From sunset sailboat weddings to tropical garden weddings, this location has an array of stylish options that offer the coastal vibe you desire with tons of romance.

5. Mendoza, Argentina

Just like Australia, it’s summer in Argentina when it’s winter in North America. So not only do you have the promise of beautiful weather, but you also have the stunning scenery of the Andes mountains as your backdrop for your nuptials. Couple that with the number of wineries Mendoza is famous for and good food, and you certainly have one unforgettable destination wedding.

6. Sedona, Arizona

Looking for some R&R with an intimate and rustic feel? Then you might want to check out Sedona, Arizona. The city’s spectacular red stones sets the stage for a truly breathtaking and organic feel. Combine that with the New Age-y vibes that emanate from the encompassing desert, and it might just be the ideal location for couples who are looking for both romance and rejuvenation.

7. Melbourne, Australia

Lucky for us North Americans, our winter is Australia’s summertime, so if you’re looking for a summer wedding, you can actually do that here. Melbourne is filled with beautiful sand, surf, wineries, and, of course, warm weather. While it’s definitely a long trip, you and your guests can make it an adventure. Or, you might want to keep it simple and elope there.

8. Miami, Florida

If you’re into glamming it up for your wedding and you and your partner are all about having a good time, then Miami is your literal hotspot. Not only are there a number of hotels and clubs to choose from for your big day—and the reception, and the after-party—Miami is also known for its cuisine and spas. You definitely will be living the plush life here.

9. Maui, Hawaii

There’s no doubt about it: Hawaii is paradise. If you’re dreaming of a beachside ceremony with a picture-perfect sunset, then Hawaii might be your blessed place to say “I do.” The wintertime is prime season for whale watching, which just adds to the magical feel of the island. It’s definitely an unforgettable choice to bring some more “Aloha” into your world.

With so many wonderful warm choices, it might be hard to choose the ideal place for your warm winter wedding destination. Keep in mind your budget and what you’re most interested in (surfing or lounging?), and you’ll no doubt find the best oceanside location to take the matrimonial plunge.
