Facilities and Capacity

Once you encounter the stately front gate of the charming venue, it opens to reveal a garden courtyard that leads to the boutique hotel, the 1840s Carrollton Inn. You’ll see three stories of architectural excellence fronted by a historical red-iron facade that rises before guests majestically. From the Latin-inspired first-floor 1840s cabaret-style to the second floor 1840s city-lite-theme, the unique decor will create a charming atmosphere for the joyous occasion. The second floor also features authentic Baltimore vignettes, historical White Tower diner, and a lounge-like style. In addition to those two spaces, the 1840s Plaza boasts an elegant 1840s ballroom with sweeping city views, hardwood dancefloor, crystal chandeliers, and hand-painted murals of historic Baltimore. The ballroom is one of the most sophisticated and unique in the Inner Harbor area. No matter the vision or budget, there is a fitting venue for your day.

  • From the very beginning of my wedding planning 1840s plaza has been amazing! They were the first and only venue we looked at! Our original wedding date was 3/21/20. 1840s plaza did everything they could to try to have us still get married on that date but unfortunately that was the week everything was shut down. Afterwards they were so accommodating after we had to postpone our wedding twice due to the restrictions. We finally had the wedding of our dreams on 7/18/20. We used city lights for our small ceremony and had our reception in the ballroom! You can not go wrong with this venue, everything inside and outside is beautiful. A special thank you to Taylor and Stasia for dealing with my many phone calls throughout the corona virus mess!

    responded with the following comments.

Rachel, We were so thrilled to finally get to host your special day! After all the rescheduling, you were patient & everything was able to come together beautifully. Stasia & I were both thrilled to be apart of it, and can't wait to see you both back again soon for a visit! Congrats again! Taylor & Stasia
