The narrative of this property begins in the year 1863 with Jason Kibler. At that time, he homesteaded 160 acres. Seven years later saw him acquiring 160 more acres. Following this, the family tree grew in the form of Louisa Buroker, Jason’s wife, and their children. David, their second son, married a woman named Katherine and, together, they built a farmhouse on the property. A quarter of the way through the 20th century, fuel-powered engines were introduced to the land. After approximately 60 more years, Greg and Vanessa Finch purchased and restored 42 acres of the farmstead. At the turn of the century, Ken and Ginger Harrison bought the Mill Creek Road property as well as land for the cultivation of Heather Hill Vineyard. The decade to follow was peppered with various wine varietal releases and in 2016 winemakers Daniel Wampfler and Amy Alverez-Wampfler came on the scene, amplifying the destination’s potential into what it is today.
