About Us

Adelphia Restaurant & Banquet Facility is a ballroom-style wedding venue for couples in Deptford, New Jersey. Not only will couples take advantage of the beautiful ballrooms, but they will also enjoy the delicious taste of the restaurant’s in-house catering. For decades, the staff at Adelphia Restaurant & Banquet Facility has provided a space where dreams come true.

Facilities and Capacity

Two expansive ballrooms await you at this elegant venue. Each features classic decor, gold crown molding and sparkling chandeliers. Your weddings will possess an elegant ambiance that is sure to impress your most sophisticated guest. The largest of the rooms can accommodate up to 600 guests for a grand affair. Your friends and family will dance the night away under romantic lighting and on top of the black and white dance floor.

Services Offered

The event planning staff provide all-inclusive packages for couples to make wedding planning a breeze. Adelphia Restaurant & Banquet Facility will take care of the setup, cleanup, and everything in between. Famous for their in-house catering and bar, couples will take advantage of custom-curated menus and premium bar services. You and your guests will also have access to the wireless Internet during your event, so you can share the festivities all evening long.


Not every venue will offer custom menus for your event. Adelphia Restaurant & Banquet Facility has chefs that will provide an option for a sit-down, buffet, French service, family style or station dinner. Their servers will pass out your selection of hors-d'oeuvres during your cocktail reception. Hold a tasting to decide on your favorite meals and pick out desserts that satisfy any sweet tooth. Custom menus will also allow you to make accommodations for any dietary need.


Founded by the Balis family, Adelphia Restaurant & Banquet Facility was officially open for business in 1987. It has since continued to be run by the same family and has expanded to become a nightlife destination for South Jersey. After several expansions and menu updates, the facility has remained a place for weddings, banquets, and fine dining.

  • we had our wedding planned for October 5th 2019. We had paid everything except for the final payment but unfortunately had an emergency which required us to postpone the wedding. In the contract we signed it said that as long as you had the same type of event the date could be moved. We were told no and that there would be no refund or credit towards another date in the future. We notified them 95 days prior to our wedding and they could do nothing. We had an attorney look over the contract and he even said that the venue should allow you to move the date based on the signed contract. They still said no. Then to top it off the sent a letter stating that we owed them nearly $2000 for loss revenue of the event. We ended up paying nearly $7500 for a wedding that never even took place.     First and foremost, thank you for choosing Adelphia to celebrate such a special day in both of your lives. It is never easy hearing when Brides & Grooms are forced make the tough decision to cancel their upcoming wedding, and we are very sorry you had to make that decision. As you mentioned, we are a business and a large part of our business is making sure our clients are happy and pleased with their services, no matter if their event was past, present, or decided against. To protect not only Adelphia, but our clients as well, a contract is created, reviewed, and signed to make sure both parties understand what is expected from each other. All of Adelphia’s contracts contain the same policies for cancelled events, as detailed below: CANCELLATION CHARGES: Should it be necessary to cancel a function, the following policy concerning refunds will apply: Initial deposit, additional installments, and/or deposits are non-refundable. They may be applied to future functions to be held at the Adelphia, provided that the originally booked date has been re-booked with an event of the same dollar value. Should any legal fees be incurred, the client is to be held responsible for them for both the Adelphia Restaurant and them self. Date Cancellation Notice Received Prior to Event Date & Percentage of Damages Due to the Adelphia: Within 14 Days Prior to Arrival: 100% of Estimated Revenue From 15 to 45 Days Prior to Arrival: 75% of Estimated Revenue From 46 to 90 Days Prior to Arrival: 50% of Estimated Revenue Originally contact was made with our banquet manager on 7/22/19 which was 75 days prior to your originally booked reception. Written confirmation of the cancellation was received via email by one of our banquet managers on 7/23/19, 74 days prior to your originally booked reception, therefore 50% of the estimated revenue from your reception was due to Adelphia. Contact was made by Adelphia via email on, 9/9/19 to inform you that a lower payment had been approved by Adelphia. Respectfully, a few days were given to allow you to run the new payment agreement by your legal counsel. On 9/13/19, the newly agreed amount was paid and your account was considered settled. Because you had paid the newly agreed amount, Adelphia was under the impression your legal counsel agreed with all terms of the agreement. Had the originally booked date, 10/5/19, been re-booked with an event of the same dollar value, your initial deposit, additional installments and/or deposits would have been applied to a future date that worked for both you and Adelphia.
