About Us

Anderson Japanese Gardens is a unique wedding venue located in Rockford, Illinois. As one of the best Japanese gardens in North America, this setting will delight and impress your guests. The grounds consist of 12 acres of lawns, pathways, streams and waterfalls. This is an award-winning venue, having held the WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards for a number of years. With its architecture and professional services, Anderson Japanese Gardens is a venue that will be remembered forever.

Recognizing these disruptive times, Anderson Gardens and Fresco at the Gardens, operated by Franchesco’s Ristorante, realize many bridal couples are forced to reschedule their weddings dates. The Garden and Fresco want to help alleviate the stress and anxiety many bridal couples are struggling with as they try to find available wedding venues.

Receptions are available September 2020 through March 2021.

    • I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff and the grounds! The ceremony was beautiful and that in large part is due to the attentiveness of the staff! They took care of details that I hadn’t thought of and were very supportive. They had golf carts to help our family that were handicapped down to the site and made me overall feel so at ease! I would HIGHLY recommend them!!
