Auntie Mama's New Southern Cuisine & Catering is a family-owned and operated "new" Southern cuisine and catering company in Central New Jersey founded by Tammy Westbrook, AKA "Auntie Mama."
Tammy started cooking family dinners on the farm in rural Kentucky at age eleven. Growing up in the countryside, she appreciated the farm-to-table wholesomeness of Southern cuisine as well as the love and hospitality in the way it was served.
After traveling the world (first as a college student and later as a professional Gospel singer) and finally settling in Harlem, New York, Tammy fed her beloved Southern dishes to scores of raving family, friends and church family. After experimenting with new flavor combinations gleaned from her world travels and from exploring the rich food culture of New York City, Tammy enhanced the flavors of the delicious foods she'd grown up eating.
Also, conscious of the need to improve upon the healthiness of traditional Southern cooking methods, Tammy started using healthier cooking methods. By the time she'd moved her young family to Central New Jersey, catering requests came in regularly and while juggling single parenthood and a full-time teaching job, Tammy catered dinners and special events for a cadre of loyal customers. Finally, in the spring of 2013, Tammy started Auntie Mama's New Southern Cuisine & Catering to meet the growing demand for her food and excellent service on a regular basis.
Now it's your turn to enjoy the fresh, down-home cooking of Tammy Westbrook, aka "Auntie Mama", and experience the love in every bite!
