Bishop Farmstead is a barn and farm wedding venue located in Vincetown, New Jersey. An ideal place to host both your ceremony and reception, it has a cozy, yet spacious, barn setting as well as a great deal of outdoor areas for celebrations.
Facilities and Capacity
From the outside, there is a great deal to admire. The beautiful farmhouse with its garden, plants, and hedging creates a lush, laid-back feel. The tall trees, shrubbery, and green spaces help to create a natural wonderland perfect for newlyweds strolls, summertime al fresco dining, or cocktails.
There is a place for the couple of honor to celebrate their ceremony, too. Right on the edge of a field of wildflowers (part of the 12-acre grounds), everyone can gather to mark the moment when your union became official. Here, beautiful deck chairs can be arranged, offering places to sit for approximately 80 or more people. An elegant wooden arbor, complete with trellis and floral decoration, can be setup for you and your significant other to stand under as your officiant joins you in matrimony.
Undoubtedly, the venue’s big red barn is the jewel in the crown of this property. With ample space for hosting your reception, it offers large vaulted ceilings, beautiful dark-red wood, exposed ceiling beams, and rustic charm. Here, 200 guests can be accommodated for a sit-down meal. Long tables with elegant black chairs provide a great deal of comfort for everyone to relax, enjoy the day, and sink into the atmosphere that has been cultivated. Hanging lampshade lights, fairy lights, and table runners help to create a suitably romantic atmosphere.
Conveniently, Bishop Farmstead staff are more than happy to welcome outside vendors onsite. This allows the couple to bring in the type of talented businesses and individuals who can coax the venue to life according to their tastes. An event planner is also readily available to step in and assist with any coordination issues the couple might have, taking away some of the stress and responsibility from the couple, and leaving them to get lost in the emotion and unforgettable wonder. Event rentals, lighting, sound, and get-ready rooms are available, while the staff can provide cleanup and setup services for before and after the wedding.
The farmhouse at Bishop Farmstead was originally constructed back in the 18th century, while the big red barn came into existence after it was built in 1932. These spaces have been around for a long time, and they each have rich and colorful pasts. However, for the happy couple, the most important piece of the history here will surely be the day they got married. You could very well be the next couple to do so here.
