About Us

Hornblower Classic Cable Cars is a San Francisco, California-based company that provides unique San Francisco-style transportation services. We are San Francisco's only original cable car charter operator; some of our cars are originals dating back to the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.


With over 50 years of experience in the industry, Hornblower Classic Cable Cars provide couples cable car transportation to bridal showers, elopements, ceremonies, receptions, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners all while guaranteeing on-time arrival.


Cable cars offer amazing photo opportunities for couples and guests alike. Couples can also use the cable cars to ride off into the city as newly-weds and enjoy some of San Francisco’s best views!

Services Offered
Hornblower Classic Cable Cars driving and transportation services offer multiple location pick-up/drop off, one-way trips, and round trips. Our cable cars are equipped with premium stereos to play music of the guests’ choice.

    • As San Franciscan's we weren't sure if we wanted one of those "fake cable cars" for our wedding. To be honest, we had associated them with touristy, boozy parties and weren't sure if it fit the classic vibe we were looking for. However, after looking around, we quickly realized that a cable car rental was the easiest and most economical way to shuttle our bridal party and guests from our nearby hotel to our venue. Renting a classic cable car turned out to be one of the coolest parts of our wedding! Hornblower was so easy to work with and the cable car that picked us up was beautiful! It was such a fun way to get from point A to point B and because our guests were visiting from all over the world, it provided them with that little special memory of riding a cable car.
