About Us

Chateau on the Creek is a central Texas stone and oak beam crafted venue nestled on 7 scenic acres and bordering creeks near old historic Round Rock off of Sam Bass Road. Kathy Hunt, who serves as each couple’s bridal consultant, has been closely involved in the wedding industry for many years. Kathy and Mark began serving the bridal industry many years ago as a young married couple helping Kathy's mom who was a caterer and bridal consultant in Houston. Along with her family, Kathy has gained a great deal of experience as not only a bridal consultant, but also as a baker. On this tranquil property brimming with 80' tall shade trees, 2 creeks, wildlife and natural beauty, couples will receive her assistance as they plan a romantic bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. We offer an All Inclusive Package that greatly simplifies the planning process (please see the PDF here on Wedding Wire), a customizable "Your Way" package that gives the bride more choices and flexibility in her planning or a venue rental only option. You can find all of the details as well as many wonderful event photos on our web site. We would love to visit with you as you plan the beginning of a new life long journey!

Facilities and Capacity
At Chateau on the Creek, couples are able to exchange their vows at the romantic gazebo or at the fireplace patio shaded by a 200+ year old live oak tree covered with twinkle lights. The park like grounds are flocked by century-old oak and native pecan trees, adding plenty of history and charm to your ceremony. The lawn area is also perfect for outdoor ceremonies. Our couples also have use of the bridal suite with private restroom and the groom's suite. After the wedding is over, you and your guests can move into the indoor climate controlled arched reception area to spend time with family & friends celebrating your new marriage. This property even includes an outdoor fireplace flanked by two waterfalls, a fire pit and an outdoor bar crafted from cedar and exotic woods so you can enjoy the beautiful outdoor area for your reception and cocktail hour. This beautiful venue can accommodate up to 150 of your friends and family. Sometimes brides forget about, what happens if it rains, turns cold and windy or is an extremely hot and humid day! Our dance floor and venue are indoors and are heated/air conditioned so that everyone is comfortable, even out on the dance floor. If it rains, we can move the wedding indoors in front of the 14' stone fireplace. We have been hosting intimate weddings at the Chateau for 14 years and will make sure you and your guests are comfortable, regardless of the weather and taken care of on your wedding day. We encourage you to visit our web site especially our pricing tab and our FAQ's tab that is loaded with information, menu options, photos, reviews, etc.

  • We contacted Mark and Kathy Hunt about hosting our wedding at the end of May to secure their venue for our wedding. As we were viewing the grounds we did express concern over the COVID pandemic that was just starting, and even though our date was not until January we wanted to make sure we were covering all our bases. We were assured by Mark that our date would be able to be moved if a COVID situation was to occur. As we got closer to the dates we did keep confirming with Kathy that we were watching the COVID situation get worse, but we were trying to move ahead with our plans. As we approached October and numbers were getting close to being due most of our wedding party and my soon to be in-laws had stated they were not going to make it due to the COVID concerns. When we approached Kathy and Mark about this they said we should have the wedding with "whoever could make it", but wouldn't move our wedding date. We finally did get to talk with Mark who agreed to move the date to March fro... Read more

    responded with the following comments.

When I met with Daniel and Laila (during our initial showing in May of 2020) we did discuss our COVID policy. I explained that beginning in the middle of March, 2020 all weddings were completely shut down in Texas due to COVID restrictions and if there was another total shutdown, then we would move the wedding date out to a date when weddings were allowed again as we did with our couples during the first total shutdown. We never stated that we would move the date if weddings were not shut down or make an open-ended statement that we would move their date if “a COVID situation were to occur”. COVID was well under way when they booked in May. Weddings were not closed down and unfortunately, it was their choice not to have their 1/2/21 wedding as we had been doing in the months prior to their date. They could have had their wedding, but chose not to! We did allow Laila to split her initial deposit to book into two payments as a convenience for her. We also offered to allow her to move her wedding date into February or March of 2021 (nearly 3 months out from 1/2/21) at no charge but they did not want to do that. We also offered to move their date to the fall of 2021 and would apply their current deposit to that new date if we rebooked their January date. In addition, we offered to do a micro wedding for them if they did not want to chance losing their deposit. When she stated that she was going to cancel her wedding, we explained to her that the payments made would be forfeited as per the contract if she were to cancel. We would have loved to have hosted their wedding at the venue and tried to offer a reasonable extension at no charge or loss of deposit.
