  • I will admit that my wedding was occurring just as quarantines were beginning across the country, and there were many unknowns associated with COVID, so emotions and stress levels were very high. That being said, Samantha, was less than pleasant to work with and none of the details that had been discussed in previous meetings were managed by the CBBC team. Had my mother, and 2 family friends not checked in on the decor, it would have been an nightmare and nothing like I had requested. When my mother arrived the day before our wedding, she found every single bit of candy that I had personally sorted and labeled for a candy bar, dumped together into 3 large jars (that were to be used for a popcorn stand). When my mother addressed this with Samantha, her response was 'Well, you had a lot of stuff," Not a single item that was given to the beach club was not something that we had called and asked about before we moved forward with the planning. She later told us we were "Just luck we we... Read more

Heather, we are very sorry to read your review. While there were a lot of changes leading up to your wedding – it did seem that you all were very happy the night of your wedding. Most of my conversations were with your Mom over the phone along with 3-4 visits when she was in town from Texas. We worked together extensively the week of your wedding as décor was dropped off on several occasions throughout the week. Unfortunately from our perspective we were given minimal direction on how to set everything up and truly did our best – perhaps we missed a detailed checklist that was left with all the items. We had mentioned in advance and on the Banquet Event Order that everything must go home the night of the wedding. Unfortunately, your Mom’s friends did have to pack a lot of the items in their suitcases to be brought back to Texas which they were not planning to do. Planning a wedding from a distance can always be challenging and that paired with all the changes that came along with the beginning of COVID made it even more difficult. Due to the beginning of quarantine many of your guests were unable to attend last minute. At that point, food and beverage had specifically been purchased and beginning to be prepared for your wedding based on your Banquet Event Order and the details signed off on 10 days prior. Unfortunately, we did scramble a bit as we had to make so many changes to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. Most of this year has not gone according to plan but we have done our very best to pivot countless times given the advice and guidelines of our local and state health officials. While it is not our intention to use COVID as the reason for any of the shortcomings you experienced with us – we are willing to take responsibility for some areas not running as smoothly given the circumstances. We are grateful for a 4.9 rating with 274 reviews on Wedding Wire with 20 years of experience. 2020 has thrown us a very big curve ball and we are continuing to do our very best to work through the challenges that are be presented day to day. It was a pleasure working with you on your wedding and wish you all the best! -Samantha
