We at Dorothy’s Chocolates have been creating premium Swiss chocolates since 1947. Dorothy’s was founded by our own Mom, Dorothy Gastel. Her idea of making sumptuous Swiss chocolates, elegantly presented, has stood the test of time. I’m Marti Gastel, and with my husband Robert, Dorothy’s son, we own and operate Dorothy’s Candies. We strive to preserve Dorothy’s traditions in our product. Our chocolates are hand-made on the premises, using Dorothy’s own secret recipes for our phenomenal centers. Unparalleled! We have been featured numerous times at the Academy Awards, and also at the Kentucky Derby.
We create our chocolates using only the richest Swiss- chocolate. Swiss chocolate is traditionally higher in cocoa solids – what makes chocolate tasty! It also is less sugary. If you taste our chocolates, you’ll immediately notice the difference. There are no waxy additives in our chocolates – you’ll notice the satisfying, creamy mouth-feel right away. Also, there’s no sugary after-taste – just the rich taste of chocolate. That’s why we say, “One Bite and You’ll Know!” Today we sell more than 75,000 pounds of fine chocolates per year throughout the USA.
