Dye House is a boutique hotel and event space offering a unique, thoughtfully-curated guest experience, designed for a diverse set of occasions and gatherings. We’re a destination for travelers and locals, a neighborhood focal point, a space where all kinds of people come together. In addition to our event space, we have five guest rooms full of considered design details, though that’s just one small part of what we do. This is a new kind of hospitality, one that puts our community first. We’re your guides to getting lost in Olneyville’s underground art scene, and we’re your homebase when you’re ready to relax in singular style.
Our Space: The Studio
Situated at the corner of Dike Street and Troy, flanked by the massive mills of which it was once a part, Dye House has the broad barn door of a New England farm and the light-flooded interior of a Parisian loft. The effect is warm and welcoming; the building itself invites you in. Once a dye house and weaving room for American Woolen & the Weybosset Mill Complex, later a ceramics studio for J Schatz, The Studio is our dedicated event space where weddings and celebrations will go long into the night. Framed by twenty-foot gabled ceilings, the original red brick floor and dozens of windows, the atmosphere is one of expansion and intimacy.
Weddings & Gatherings:
Host a personal, one-of-a-kind wedding, a family get-together or an unforgettable party in a breathtaking space with a rich history. Twenty-foot gabled ceilings and the original red brick floor will set the scene, and dozens of windows will bathe your guests in natural light. Modern rococo design elements, vibrant textiles and bold colors make this gorgeous, historical space completely modern.
Olneyville is one of those places that feels like a secret until you realize your coolest friend has known about it all along. It’s the sun rising over the mills in the morning. It’s the cafe around the corner that’s also a bookstore and a bar. It’s a day wandering tiny galleries and reinvented studios, discovering DIY art collectives and established craftspeople and getting inspired by that trademark mix of old and new. It’s locally-sourced cocktails at happy hour, global street food for dinner, hidden dive bars for drinks and world-renowned wieners that taste really good at 2 a.m. And that’s just day one.
