EXCLUSIVE ISLAND WEDDINGS is a wedding planner in Kahului, Hawaii, that specializes in making your wedding day visions come to life. EXCLUSIVE ISLAND WEDDINGS plans customized celebrations, big and small. The team of planners has worked on civil, destination, and eco-friendly weddings, among others.

Experience
Company founder Kim Yonamine was born and raised in Maui, and has always had a knack for designing and presenting events. She infuses her style and detail-oriented nature into her events, and she works with a range of vendors. She started her company in 2009, initially as a part-time venture that she eventually pursued full-time after four years.

    • In fall of 2019, we stumbled upon Kim via my maid of honor. She randomly saw her fun posts on Instagram. After reviewing her Instagram posts and setting up an initial call, we knew she was our person. Maui being a destination wedding for us, we needed someone organized, honest, creative, and detailed. All through our planning, Kim displayed these traits and then some. Little did we know that 3 months out from our wedding, we also needed someone to go into reactive pandemic mode. When we called to discuss what was happening in the world and the steps to move the wedding to next year, she set my mind at ease. Being in the hospitality industry, I knew what she was dealing with on her end and she took it in stride. She made all the calls and helped organize/arrange all the changes with our vendors. As we continue our planning for next year, I’m even more confident than before we selected the best planner for our special day. Thank you Kim!
