We agreed to meet at a picnic table outside at a grassy area. I don't even know where the chapel is, nor have they mentioned it to me in e-mails. I waited a half hour at our agreed to place outside at a picnic table. I described what I would be wearing to help identify me, since I haven't met them or have any idea what they would look like other than being college students. I don't have a smart phone or iPhone, just a computer at home so attempts (for which they would get a A+) to contact me were futile; a text or call to my phone number (which I provided to them) would have been helpful. I asked them in a follow up e-mail to look for someone else to officiate their wedding; I did that for their sakes. I'm a fun guy and I perform fun weddings. From the unfortunate mis- and non-communications concerning this meeting, and especially now from this rude and inaccurate message from the bride-to-be, I felt I have made the right decision. I can't be a fun officiant at their wedding. I wish them the best!
