  • In all the stress and aspects of wedding planning, cake selection was a surprise favorite. It helps that Orabeth is fantastic. Truthfully I approached cake more as an ornamental part of the wedding and I didn't have high expectations. I was really happy that Flour&Bloom offered both - a cake that looked good and tasted good. I set up a tasting of cake and minis. You get to try all 10 flavors and there are styrofoam sizes which helps visualize your cake. Flavors are all delicious and you can't really go wrong. I chose Tiramisu for both my layers. I was adamant about a buttercream finish which ran counter to the design I chose. It took me a while to decide. But Ora Beth was patient and sweet about my dilemma. She reassured me that the high quality of fondant they use (i can testify) and she worked it out with my caterer to peel the fondant before serving. In the end I went with a two-tier fondant.
