It is a French culinary phrase which means "putting in place" or "everything in its place". It refers to the set up required before cooking, and is often used in professional kitchens to refer to organizing and arranging ingredients that a cook will require for the menu items that are expected to be prepared during a shift.

  • Due to the circumstances of 2020, we decided to postpone our larger wedding and have a smaller micro wedding on our original date. I contacted Jamie about a month before our wedding date looking for heavy hors d'oeuvres for about 30 guests. She quickly put together a COVID friendly menu of individually portioned hors d'oeuvres. Her menu was creative and included classic as well as unique flavors. The presentation was great and we received tons of compliments on the quality of the food!
