About Us

The I’On Meeting House, a quaint venue located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, specializes in creating simple and elegant wedding ceremonies. This venue is located near downtown Charleston, South Carolina, and provides a welcoming environment for you and your guests. With its crisp white walls and arched windows, couples will have a charming backdrop to their special day situated in an authentic Lowcountry neighborhood.

Facilities and Capacity
The I’On Meeting House can welcome up to 150 of your friends and family. The property also features a lawn just outside the I’On Meeting House. If needed,there is additional space for your wedding reception on the lawn with a temporary tent as an option as well. Couples desiring an intimate elopement can host their ceremony on the property as well. With up to 25 of your friends and family, you can have a private elopement right in the I’On Community.

  • Sadly, my fiance and I had to cancel our wedding due to the entire COVID 19 Pandemic. Our reception venue had to cancel on us as they could not abide by the social distancing ordinance for our 25 guests. At this time, we can not reschedule as we are still currently living in a situation of uncertainty, and do not wish to put any of our guests at risk health wise. We provided more than a months notice prior to our cancellation. In light of the current extenuating circumstances, a full refund of our deposit would have been the right thing to do. Instead, our $500.00 deposit was kept. We have since followed up regarding the refundable $150.00 for cleaning expenses. Obviously, with no venue taking place, there was no clean-up. There has been no response from either Pam, or the owner of Ten Thousand Years, LLC. We are already deeply saddened by the fact that we had to cancel our wedding.     Steph-we are very sorry you chose to cancel your wedding rather than postponing to another date as many brides have had to do. You selected I’On Meeting House for your ceremony only. Although your reception venue cancelled on you, we were able to still accommodate the ceremonial part of your wedding and still can. The reservation fee of $500 is contractually non-refundable and is always strongly recommended rescheduling (without penalty) if life’s circumstances cause a date change. We continued to work diligently with you for some time to reschedule your day without success. You never paid the a additional cleaning fee to us so there would be no refund. We are all in this together and I truly wish you the best.
