About Us

JH Adams Inn is a boutique hotel and wedding venue located in High Point, North Carolina. Situated in the historical district of the city, the hotel is an Italian Renaissance mansion originally built in 1918 as a lavish home full of southern charm. Original owners John Hampton and Elizabeth Adams demanded the absolute best and latest amenities in their residence, creating a unique and memorable experience for today’s visitors. The mansion was renovated in 2000, and now welcomes guests to enjoy private events and overnight accommodations, with the original Hampton home serving as the heart of the property.

Facilities and Capacity
The event spaces at JH Adams Inn can accommodate a total of 200 wedding guests. The nine gathering areas, 31 guest rooms, and private event spaces are further enhanced by the carved moldings, marble fireplace, grand staircase, elegant furniture, and hardwood floors. Couples can hold their ceremonies and receptions in the Harlequin Courtyard, the Diamond Room, or the Lobby. Additional spaces for catering or beverage service can be accommodated in the club and bar area. The Elizabeth House is available for smaller wedding events, such as a bridal shower or engagement party, for up to 50 people, and features hardwood floors, abundant natural light, and stately architecture.

Services Offered
Serving as sales director and event planner, Julie Daye is the venue’s point of contact for all wedding-related events. Julie is able to provide a guided, step-by-step process of the wedding planning process, assisting couples with timeline, coordinating vendors, space layout, decorations, and menu planning. With venue booking, couples will also have access to the inn’s chairs, tables, and dance floor for their event.

Cuisine
All the special events held at JH Adams Inn are exclusively catered by Cristina Gray’s Restaurant and Catering. The catering team can produce both casual or upscale menus, and couples can discuss their options with Sales Director Julie Daye and Executive Chef Mary Soles, who produces high-quality, made-from-scratch dishes. The catering options include plated or buffet-style serving, as well as hors d’oeuvres. The venue can also supply barware, flatware, linens, china, and glassware for catering needs.

Accommodations
In addition to offering venue space, the inn also offers guests the option to stay overnight in one of their 31 uniquely designed rooms. Each room contains a queen or king bed and spacious private baths. Standard room amenities include Sealy mattresses, plush robes, and excellent service from the inn staff.

  • JHAdams Inn was a wonderful place to have a rehearsal dinner. Julie was fantastic to work with even though we had to change the date and with the challenges of the Coviid Virus. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed having the cocktail hour on the beautiful covered patio. I would highly recommend this establishment to host a rehearsal dinner.
