About Us

Linganore Winecellars is a winery wedding venue located in Mount Airy, Maryland. A terrific place to host your wedding celebration, it boasts several different event spaces. Combine these with the acres of space and awe-inspiring views, and it’s clear that magical celebrations can take place here.

Facilities and Capacity

Linganore Winecellars features four different spaces which are each capable of hosting a variety of event types. The Vineyard Lawn is a stunning location for hosting a dream ceremony. Picture yourself, against a backdrop of rolling hills, lush green lawns, and glinting sunlight as you and your partner join together in matrimony. A delightful setting, particularly on fine summer days, the swaying trees, majestic views, and ample spaces make it an ideal location. Here, too, tents can be set up for ceremonies on the lawn. Meanwhile, the Berrywine Pavilion measures 4,500 square feet and can accomodate up to 175 guests in this surrounding. This is the perfect place to bring the outdoors in, as it can allow light breezes while maintaining the comfort and rustic charm of the indoors. Ideally, the couple of honor and their guests can enjoy cocktail receptions here - or, they can use it as extra space for the main meal. Abisso Banquet Hall, which can accommodate up to 175 guests, provides a stunning indoor space. Dominated by natural wood, this space is bright and roomy. With 23-foot-high ceilings, chandeliers, and natural light, it is a remarkable space fit for the meal, the first dance, and so much more. Moreover, the renovated Bacioni Room is suited for a an intimate reception, shower or rehearsal dinner with up to 40 guests.

Services Offered

Linganore Winecellars houses a variety of great features. A get-ready room is available for the wedding party to make use of, while setup and cleanup services are also offered to make the experience more seamless. Furthermore, the tables and chairs needed for each event can be supplied by the staff.

Micro-Weddings - COMING SOON


Couples who host their wedding at Linganore Winecellars benefit from the onsite catering team, Fine Cuisine. As the name suggests, these culinary creatives’ end-goal is to serve dishes that are high-quality, full of flavor, and made with flair. Conveniently, they can create a custom menu. To complement the food, the venue can also provide bar services accompanied by bartenders who are able to serve beer and wine. A champagne toast can also be included.


Linganore Winecellars was founded in 1971 by Jack and Lucille Aellen. This 230-acre farm was originally planted with six acres for a vineyard, but it now encompasses 70 acres, which produces a variety of diverse wines. Today, it hosts several different types of events, including wonderful weddings.

  • When we first looked at venues, Linganore Winecellars stood out immediately: the rolling hills and stunning views of the vineyard and spacious yet intimate indoor venue were to die for and perfectly captured the warm, rustic-glam vibe we were looking for. Additionally, Linganore's exclusive caterer Fine Cuisine Dining was delicious and Linganore's wines are top notch, so we knew our guests would be well taken care of in the food and beverage department. Sadly our April 2020 wedding had to be postponed until May 2022 due to COVID-19, so in the meantime we held a very small elopement ceremony on the property in June. We are very thankful to Mary Beth Davis and Karen Pennington for not only being incredibly easy to work with and responsive throughout the wedding planning experience, but also flexible and accommodating in a very uncertain and anxiety inducing time.
