Mama Kim has wonderful food, but many many faults in her professional skills as a caterer. We hired her to cater our 200 person wedding this October and were left extremely disappointed! I'll share some of main issues that we experienced (there were many!). Her staff and setup was behind schedule and unorganized. Guests began to arrive and it was a mad scramble to make the tables look presentable. Complete lack of communication and something that should have never occurred after several planning meetings with Kim in advance of this event. Kim decided to change the location of her outdoor kitchen at the last minute. She did not consult with us. She had her setup out in the open, where all the guests could see. Very, very disappointing. The bottom line and main issue is that many guests were left without food. We had a buffet style setup and were told that at one point there were at least 30 people in line for food and only salad was available. It seems that very few people were... Read more able to enjoy all of the items offered. The trays were not replenished quickly and the food was cold. We looked at many food vendors for our wedding and felt that Mama Kim was the most capable of getting the job done. Her pricing was much higher than others we looked at, but we decided that we wanted to get the food right for the wedding. Boy, were we wrong. I would not trust her with providing services for your special event.
