In 1822, Ann Dawson built the building that is now Manayunk Brewery. It was used as a cotton mill. In 1912, the Krook family bought the building and turned it into a woolen mill. However, as textile manufacturing moved overseas, they closed their doors and sold it to Harry Renner IV in 1992. He established Manayunk Brewing Company and Restaurant and tapped the first batch of beer on October 17, 1996. Since the historical moment, the company has brewed over 700 types of beers. In 2004, Mr. Renner’s daughter took over the building. She now runs the brewery and restaurant with Mike Rose, her business partner. They have been hosting weddings for more than 15 years.

Located along Schuylkill River, Manayunk Brewing Company is 18 minutes from downtown Philadelphia and 22 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport. Attractions in the local area include Fairmount Park, Walnut Lane Golf Course and Philadelphia Zoo.

The entire staff at Manayunk really made our day special. We've been to many weddings where the bride and groom doesn't get to eat, has to stand up at the bar waiting for a drink, etc. However, that was not the case here. We were fed first (they asked our preference!) so we could walk around to tables while others ate, we were addressed by name by each staff member, offered drinks every time they saw us walking around (even going above and beyond getting any requested drinks from their dow...
