About Us

First built in 1904 by the inhabitants of the frontier town of Mercury for use as a church, Mercury Hall is a wedding venue located in Austin, Texas. The now-converted banquet hall offers a gorgeous, private, and intimate setting for a variety of special occasions. From ceremonies, receptions, engagement parties, and more, the banquet hall is waiting to be transformed to create each couple's dream wedding location.

Facilities and Capacity

Mercury Hall provides every couple with a range of indoor and outdoor event spaces that can be configured in a number of ways to best suit their desires and specific requirements. The idyllic and stunning banquet hall features traditional wooden flooring, large stained-glass windows, chandeliers, a range of furniture, and more. The 2237 square-foot open-plan space is versatile in its layout and can accommodate up to 150 guests for banquets or 200 ceremony guests. For couples looking to make use of the Texan sunshine, the Rock Garden Courtyard is a simply stunning location for celebrations in a natural and vibrant environment. The 2,500 square-foot space is partially covered and is surrounded by lush bamboo gardens and age-old trees. This fantastic area is usually used for cocktail hours and wedding receptions and can accommodate between 150-200 guests. The venue’s most popular location for outdoor ceremonies is the Ceremony Terrace. The contemporary limestone terrace enables couples to stand beneath three 200-year-old oak trees as they commit the rest of their lives to each other. The 300-square-foot event space is a private space for close friends and family to come together and celebrate this magical occasion. For larger outdoor ceremonies, the 3,100 plus square-foot Upper Lawn can accommodate up to 250 guests. The open-style lawn can also hold additional spaces for couples to provide other services for their guests to enjoy.

  • Mercury Hall is simply perfect! Courtney and her team were always helpful and kind during our planning process especially when we had to postpone our original wedding because of COVID-19. The outdoor space is an Austin oasis and the Hall has so much charm and character. Big or small - this venue is the best wedding venue in Austin. They made our guests feel safe and were so helpful keeping everything socially distanced. Thank you so much for all your help and making our dreams come true!!! We love this place sooo much
