In Erie County, just 5 miles outside the village of East Aurora, NY, Notting Hill Farm is a quick drive from the city, but feels very far away and very private.
Tucked into a quiet, manicured pasture on a 200-acre working farm at the top of a hill with a million-dollar view, the Granary is a traditional timber frame barn with authentic mortise and tenon joinery. The two-story, fully climate-controlled barn is surrounded by naturally beautiful pastures, striking floral borders, and lush woods. The spectacular, pastoral farm setting and traditional, authentic-yet-modern facility with its large capacity and amenities, are simply unmatched in Western New York.
Your guests will be welcomed to the Granary via a footbridge over a picturesque creek; a golf cart shuttle will also be available to transport any of your guests on the property who might need assistance. No detail has been overlooked, and amenities include TWO spectacular dressing rooms; beautiful, well-appointed indoor restrooms; a full-service wet bar; and coat room. The main event space is fully sound-equipped to support a professional DJ or band and includes a polished concrete floor, giant chandeliers, ambient lighting, and a floor-to ceiling stone gas fireplace. The space opens on to the furnished, all-weather patio that features dreamy views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Notting Hill Farm offers three ceremony spaces: our lush, manicured ceremony lawn surrounded by serene woods; the 84x18 covered patio with a built in arbor as your backdrop; or in very inclement weather, the interior of the Granary, and a ceremony arbor and a vintage/styled lawn game package are also included. Of course tables and chairs are included: white ceremony chairs, crossback vineyard dining chairs, dining tables (your choice of round or rectangular or a mixture), a half-round sweetheart table and wing chairs for the bride and groom, buffet tables (if needed), as well as cocktail tables and display tables, and basic cream linens. Beautiful, highest-quality all-weather patio furniture is also included!
You and your guests will splendor in the serene view of the surrounding hills and valleys and spectactular star-filled country evenings, all in an authentic farm setting with a sophisticated, upscale ambience and all of the modern amenities you expect. We look forward to welcoming you and your guests to Notting Hill Farm!

Hi Sarah, We are sorry COVID disrupted your wedding plans. Perhaps you are not aware of the many telephone calls and texts I had with your mom. Our process, as you know, was to work with couples 6 weeks out from their scheduled date to reschedule, and we did reschedule your date from May to October, since our venue was forced to close by the state government from March through May. We did not charge to move your date; in fact, we pushed your second, and final, payment to July (which was never made nor did we ask for it). The state government indicated wedding venues would be allowed to fully open on June 30. We, along with thousands of other small businesses, were blindsided on June 26 when we were told we would be able to have only 25 guests. We were then told by the state government in late July that we could have 50 guests. In early August, your mom indicated she was interested in pursuing a "split reception" in order to have a total of 100 guests. Then a week later indicated interest in a 50-guest only wedding. Then she decided on just a ceremony for 150 people, to which I informed her we were legally allowed only 50 guests for any gathering, and she said she was okay with that. Then on September 11, since I hadn't heard from her or you in two weeks, I reached out to her and let her know we were still limited to 50 guests, and she let me know you were cancelling and requested a refund, to which I advised her that our date retainer is non-refundable. There was never any "greenlight", as we are under the dictates of the state government, and any decision to move forward with 50 guests, a split wedding of 50+50, or a ceremony only, was entirely yours to make. We have not, and never had, through this entire COVID situation, any control over the restrictions and guidelines. We provided our couples with numerous options to reschedule and scale down. We also sued the state and local governments on behalf of our couples (which cost a great deal of time and money) to attempt to get these restrictions lifted, to no avail. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for the government's lack of guidance, or for their actions/mandates, or for a pandemic. To the very best of our ability, we tried to help all of our couples with numerous options (including postponements at no additional cost). We wish you and your family all the best.
