History
In 1882, the foundry of Phoenix Iron & Steel Company was built along the French Creek. It prospered until the 1970s and played a huge role in the area’s booming steel industry. However, after the steel industry declined, the Phoenixville Area Economic Development Corporation took it over in 1998. The organization raised enough funds to restore the building, while historic aspects like the large wooden cantilever crane were kept in place. In 2006, Hankin Group acquired the property and transformed it into an event space based on elegant and modern design. The venue has now been hosting weddings for five years and counting.

Location
The Foundry is near French Creek, Schuylkill River, Lock 60 Recreation Area and Valley Forge National Historical Park. It is a 44-minute drive from downtown Philadelphia and a 43-minute drive from Philadelphia International Airport. Wilmington, Delaware and Trenton, New Jersey are both 57 minutes away.

  • Beautiful venue, amazing coordinators and staff, delicious food (by J Scott Catering), and just an overall extraordinary, simple, stress-free process. From the day we walked into the Foundry we knew it was the perfect place for us. Ariane and Rachel made everything way too easy; they handled the tough tasks so my husband and I didn’t have to. I cannot say enough about how amazing our wedding experience was; from the day we started planning to the end of our big day. I HIGHLY recommend.
