Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Please Touch Museum is a historic wedding venue that’s both fun and elegant. The classic government building features antique architecture and dramatic spaces, providing a breathtaking backdrop for majestic wedding themes. While Please Touch Museum is a children’s museum by day, it can transform into a luxurious Philadelphia venue for your celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
Please Touch Museum lies within Memorial Hall, one of the city’s oldest landmark locations, in Fairmont Park. There are seven spaces that can host up to 3,000 guests, making it ideal for grand celebrations. Hamilton Hall boasts marble floors, 60-foot ceilings, a stunning dome and Beaux Art architecture. The area has a 40-foot replica of the Statue of Liberty Arm and Torch, created out of toys by local artist Leo Sewell. The South Foyer shares the same beautiful architecture, providing a spectacular entrance for pre-wedding activities and indoor ceremonies. For receptions, the West Gallery has a dynamic urban setup complete with a SEPTA bus. The East Gallery is more whimsical, offering exhibitions like Rainforest Rhythms and Alice’s Wonderland. The Carousel House has a working 1907 Dentzel Carousel with gorgeous hand-carved animals. In The Centennial Gallery, guests can enjoy a model of Fairmont Park. Two meeting rooms are also available.

From fine dining to casual meals, the team will work with you to create the perfect menu and dining experience. Memorial Hall, home to Please Touch Museum, is a national treasure from the city’s 1876 Centennial Exhibition. The museum was founded in 1976 by Portia Sperr, a Montessori educator.
