  • Problem after problem arose with this vendor. I sent the vendor some ideas I had, a budget I wanted to stay within for our invitations, & our wedding colors. The vendor then created something very impersonal that seemed to have required no effort - and was mostly one color that wasn't even one of the colors I had listed for our wedding. When presented with this first proof, I also felt like the vendor was just trying to get my order done & over with. Very dissatisfying right from the start. After disapproving the first proof, the vendor then created something much more personal for me & actually used the ideas I had wanted to do in the first place. The vendor was helpful in suggesting different options for the layout of the invitations & including all the necessary information on them. After the idea was decided upon and all information was communicated that needed to be on the invitation - the vendor sent the suite to be printed, but without sending me a final proof before prin... We really wish this could have been a better partnership, but sometimes mistakes happen and we try our hardest to fix them. We agreed to a tight, all-in budget for this bride to give her something she loved without all of the bells and whistles. Communication from this client was very sparse from the beginning and the little information we did get was pried out. Not a good start. After creating a cute, modern, custom invitation design for this bride, we were then asked to scrap it and create a busy, photo-driven design with poor quality images. We did what she asked and made them look good for what were given. So now with such poor communication and the creative changes and free design re-work, we were pushed hard up against the bride's window to send out the invites in the proper amount of time. We admittedly rushed a final file to the printer after some minor revisions without catching a typo. The bride received corrected invites after a couple re-orders and obviously didn't pay a cent for our errors. We finally requested payment upon delivery of the final design to cover printing and shipping costs as well as our design fee. This was apparently asking too much and the client withheld payment until she and her parents had the final products in hand to review. Have you ever gone to the store and taken a carton of eggs home to see how they tasted before buying them? Neither have we. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLIENT!
