Spring Brook Farm’s earliest records show that Native Americans considered the property’s artesian springs and rolling hills sacred. The land was purchased by H.B. Sherman in the 1880s, who had initially planned to build a resort but instead built the Mansion — a substantial home for today’s owners and B&B for guests, as well as the farm with prize holsteins. Fredrick W. Rogers and his wife, Lucy, bought the estate in 1916 and added a horse arena and gave their daughter, Anne, a personal trainer and prized horse, Queen of Springbrook. Rogers was president of the Monarch Range Company. Eventually, the estate became uninhabited after Anne’s husband’s death. In the late 1980's, Dennis Giese restored the Mansion and estate. Bill and Joan Schmidt became owners of the property in 2017, achieving their vision of changing the 1920s barn that once housed holsteins into a beautiful wedding and event venue.

  • We had our wedding in October at Springbrook and we truly cannot say enough positive things! The beauty and history of the whole venue is what took our breath away and knew this is where we wanted to move our wedding! The whole venue provided endless opportunities for our wedding! When we had some difficulties with another vendor they went above and beyond to make sure our vision was complete. They truly went the extra mile. The entire staff was a part of the coming together process from our early exchanges with Leah to the coordinating the day of. Seeing the owners, Bill and Joan present and involved the whole weekend really showed their commitment to their venue and the whol... Read more
