Evergreen Memorial Park was purchased in 1965 by Ron and Carol Lewis. They wanted to pay tribute to the Old West and pioneers of Evergreen. The majority of the 100-acre property is used as a private animal ranch. They have multiple animals that roam free, but they pride themselves on their buffalo herd. This herd has a direct bloodline to the original Great Plains Bison.
