Facilities and Capacity

This historic venue offers four unique event spaces. The Seely Pavilion provides breath-taking views of the surrounding scenery. Couples can choose to host their ceremony on the manicured lawn in front of the property, with room for up to 160 guests within the elegant stone and wood interior. This venue oozes rustic charm, featuring high wooden ceilings, a fireplace created from reclaimed wood, and six floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the natural vista.

The Country Club provides the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor space, featuring a large patio with expansive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Inside, the venue boasts a scalloped roof and dramatic Norman architecture, sure to impress your guests.

For a more intimate wedding event, The Omni Grove Park Inn provides the open-air Vanderbilt Terrace. This versatile space can comfortably accommodate up to 130 guests for a seated ceremony, and 100 guests for a reception.

A pre or post-wedding pampering experience can be found in one of Condé Nast Traveler’s top North American resort spas. Here, guests can choose from an impressive range of indulgent massages and treatments. History

This beautiful property was the creation of the ‘Father of modern Ashville’, Edwin Wiley Grove, and opened in 1913. Upon the building’s opening, then Secretary of State, William Jennings Bryan, described the property as having been ‘built for the ages’. Over 100 years later, this stunning triumph of architecture continues to provide so much joy to the couples that choose to wed here.

  • We were supposed to have our wedding on 7/18 at the Grove Park Inn. We knew with covid-19, there would likely need to be some changes to our plan. My fiancé and I asked Leshall and Jose (catering sales) repeatedly about any changes to our guest capacity, etc. that we needed to be aware of. Over the course of 6 weeks or so, they always maintained that we could have our full guest count (110), just seating 6 people per table instead of 10. We confirmed “even if we stay in Phase 2?” And they assured us we could host 110 people in Phase 2. We live out of state and trusted them to be upfront about any NC restrictions we needed to be aware of, especially because they had been so helpful during our planning process up until this point. 2 weeks before our wedding, they told us that they were only able to accommodate 10 people in our venue.
