Located in New Portland, Maine, The Inn on Winter’s Hill is a venue with a romantic history all its own. Ideal for weddings and other events, this inn was originally constructed as a gesture of love and devotion. Its establishing owner, Amos Winter Sr., presented the property to his wife, Julia, as a wedding gift. Since then, the family grew by three generations, playing a key part in the Kingfield community for close to a century. The venue’s various iterations have included a family home, a medical clinic, and finally The Inn on Winter’s Hill. Nowadays, the building reflects the expansion conducted by Richard Winnick. After purchasing the property, Richard expanded it by 16 rooms, allowing for greater overnight accommodations. The current owner, John Banta, is an experienced hotelier with a dedication to the property’s prosperity.
