This historic venue was built in 1914 by John Charles Shaffer and his wife Virginia Conser. It included 8,000 square feet and featured 20 rooms, six baths and an 80-foot-long living room with mirrored fireplaces at each end. The Shaffers hosted many prominent figures throughout the years, including President Theodore Roosevelt. There was a 110-foot flagpole behind The Manor House that had a light inside. When it was lit, it could be seen from Denver, and was used as a sign to the social community to join them for a grand celebration.

  • WOW. That is the first word that comes to mind after just having our wedding at this marvelous venue. I think we can all agree, if you have been there, that this venue is a show stopper from the moment you see it sitting on top of the hill, to when you pull through its luxurious gates and finally the moment you walk in the front door. Seriously! Now, if you think the venue is WOW, wait until your wedding is over and you reflect back... Read more
