About Us

Uptown Indigo is a family owned and operated venue with two floors and a breathtaking rooftop terrace. The design is "chic industrial" with lots of artistic details. Held inside the Historic Campbell Building, Uptown Indigo has been gorgeously restored to make for the perfect wedding venue.

Facilities and Capacity
From the original tin ceilings to the handmade tiles, Uptown Indigo is a truly unique wedding venue. The venue can accommodate up to 220 seated guests, with the largest space being the 6,000 square foot Indigo Ballroom.This ballroom is characterized by its modern light fixtures combined with original historic elements that provide a 1920s feel with a twist. It is fully accessible with a vintage elevator and large, elegant bathrooms. With a brand new heating and cooling system, you don't have to worry what the weather will be like on your wedding day. The Steeples Event Space is on the top floor, and is 4,000 square feet, complete with a prohibition-era, rustic space for cocktail hours or smaller cermonies. The detailed tile ceilings along with the warm lighting give the space a romantic, yet fun feel. Lastly, the Rooftop Terrace offers 800 square feet of space and an absolutely breathtaking 360 degree view of Shelby and the mountains in the distance.

This historic venue offers multiple wedding packages that can include elements for every part of your wedding weekend, from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and beyond. All wedding packages includes tables, chairs, insurance, and other features that most venues would charge as additional fees. With craft cocktails, a state-of-the-art sound system, and much more, Uptown Indigo offers a wide variety of services for your wedding day.

  • We could not have been happier with Uptown Indigo! My husband and I wanted a venue that was local, indoors with opportunities for outdoor photos, and that had a modern feel. Uptown Indigo fit our criteria perfectly. From the first time we entered through the blue doors we fell in love with the updated vintage atmosphere. Everything suited our needs perfectly, even things we hadn't considered. Being able to use multiple floors and the rooftop terrace allowed us to have an intimate ceremony while having plenty of room for dinner and dancing.
