2020 has thrown us several curveballs throughout the first half of the year. One of those curveballs was changing our original wedding plans to marry in Miami in April to a scaled down ceremony in New York, where we currently reside. Unfortunately for us, our friends and family were unable to attend since they live outside of the country and throughout the US. Mandatory quarantines and travel restrictions made that simply impossible. After changing our wedding plans, we started searching for local wedding officiants and had the great fortune of getting in touch with Mike Leahy. We immediately connected with him and booked him on the spot. Throughout the process, Mike kept in close contact with us, responding to every email and made himself available for calls to help orchestrate every detail of the ceremony. In addition to keeping in regular contact with us, we had to change our wedding venue a week before the wedding and without hesitation, Mike promised to make himself available desp... Read moreite the location change. On the wedding day, he arrived early to assist with our wedding broadcast (via Zoom) and officiated a beautiful ceremony. For the ceremony, Mike masterfully told our love story and wove in key details and remarks from family and close friends that weren’t able to attend the ceremony in person. These small details touched us and made us feel as though we had all of our family and friends right there with us in person as we said ‘I do’. After the ceremony, Mike stayed to chat with everyone in attendance and joined in the celebration with our post-champagne toast before departing. Everyone commented on the great ceremony that Mike had officiated. As I mentioned earlier, 2020 has thrown us some curveballs but our wedding has definitely been one of the bright spots for us this year. Getting to know Mike has been wonderful and we are most certainly grateful that we chose him to be our wedding officiant. July 3rd, 2020, our wedding day, will stand out as one of the best days of our lives thanks to him and we simply could not thank him enough. Mike Leahy is a superb wedding officiant and we strongly recommend him. He absolutely exceeded our expectations with his professionalism, skill, and overall care he put into preparing the ceremony of our dreams.
