About Us

Just one hour north of Atlanta, Yarborough Mill is a uniquely beautiful property in North Georgia. Step back in time as you walk the down the aisle in an outdoor ceremony on the banks of picturesque Pine Log Creek, surrounded by gardens and beautiful historic buildings from the 1800's including the Gristmill, 1885 Queen Anne Victorian home, and the original General Store and Barn. This property has it all, outdoor spaces for your wedding, an authentic rustic feel, and elegant touches, and is steeped in history and natural beauty. Surrounded by 5000 acres of beautiful, forested land, it is completely private, yet only minutes from I-75 with plenty of hotel options for your out-of-town guests.

Multiple Outdoor Ceremony Areas Yarborough Mill can accommodate up to 150 guests offers plenty of outdoor space to comfortably and safely congregate and enjoy the festivities. The vintage and rustic Pavilion nestled along Pine Log Creek, creates a beautiful backdrop for saying your vows in a pastoral waterfront setting.

Indoor / Outdoor Receptions After the ceremony, your guests can gather in and around the historic Mill for your big celebration, a three-story building with expansive two-story ceilings and the original hand-hewn beams from 1849 that span over 30 feet. The elevated stage area is ideal for your band or DJ, or for seating the bridal party. Enjoy cocktail hour outside on the covered patio under the massive oak tree, while waiters pass hors d'oeuvres and your guests enjoy meandering the surrounding grounds which are beautifully landscaped.

Two Areas to Get Ready Come early and spend the day getting ready in our Bridal Cottage, the original farmhouse on the property. Decorated with art and antiques, it also has a full kitchen and is set up to accommodate up to 10 guests overnight, perfect for the bridal party to celebrate together the night before your wedding day. The guys will enjoy the rustic Barn Loft to hang out and get ready.

History Yarborough Mill was built in 1849 as a working gristmill and settlement by Percy Yarborough, a prominent physician and pharmacist in Adairsville, Georgia. At the time, the Mill also served as the local post office where mail was delivered on horseback. The Mill was in operation through the early 1900's. The property was purchased in 1998 by the current owners and has been lovingly restored, keeping any improvements true to its original integrity and began operating as a wedding venue in 2013.

  • Myself and my associate photographers have photographed weddings at this venue on three separate occasions, and I really love it for several reasons. First, it's just beautiful and the options for gorgeous photos are unending between the four buildings on property and the vast outdoors with fields, woods, the river, and the long winding driveway/road. I'd be happy to share a full gallery with anyone of this location. Another huge advantage of having a wedding here is that everything is onsite. Getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Being able to do all of that at one location helps wedding days go so much smoother than having to travel between locations with a bridal party and trying to coordinate vendors to show up at different locations. And I've found the venue owner Karen to be a real sweet heart in hospitality on the weddings I've photographed there. Personally I'd love to shoot here again and again.
